A letter from our owners

Dear Business Partners, Customers, and Friends,

It’s a time of great uncertainty and unprecedented crisis. Simultaneously, it’s also an opportunity to do our part to impact the lives of others, for good.

Personally, and professionally we are all challenged more than any of us are capable of expressing, yet we have banded together as a company, an industry, and a country, united to help others.

Here at Carla’s Pasta, we have made changes to our purchasing, transportation, production capacity, and prioritized our distribution models to provide where the need is. It is our immediate responsibility as food manufacturers to do so, for as long as it takes.

We are beyond grateful, and honored to stand beside our dedicated employees. They are the crafters that will bring us the gift of tomorrow. We are, and continue to be indebted for their efforts, every day. Food safety, the health and well-being of our customers, fellow associates and communities we serve continues to be our emphasis.

It is important that we express, now more than ever, our commitment to provide our services as partners and friends as we navigate these unchartered waters. Know we are here, to support each other and get through this, together.

At Carla’s Pasta, food safety, the health and well-being of our customers, fellow associates, and communities we serve is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding COVID-19 and are committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers as the situation evolves.

Our organization has taken immediate steps to protect the facility and our employees including screening of travel activity for all staff, visitors, and contractors, sanitizing of common areas, and health policy reviews with employees. As a food manufacturer, we already employ strict controls for processing zones, employee hygiene, and food contact surfaces. Carla’s is working directly with our suppliers to insure an uninterrupted flow of strategic items including all materials and ingredients.

We would like to secure confidence by sharing our Food Manufacturing Procedures and High Hygiene Production Facility Practices:

  • We will continue to conduct and mandate the highest quality from all of our suppliers.
  • We perform ingredient quality testing.
  • Our production facility is hygienically zoned to prevent product contamination. Equipment and staff are dedicated to designated zones. Garments, boots, and personal protective gear changes are required as staff moves between zones. Additionally, personal protective gear is required for all personnel entering the production facility.
  • The use of multi-zone, stainless steel air ducts creates positive air pressure to prevent outside air from entering the building, minimizing any risk of foreign airborne contaminants.
  • HEPA filtration removes foreign matter from the air and Ultra Violet (UV) lighting disinfects the air after it is passed through the filters.

The entire Carla’s Pasta family is committed to working closely with our suppliers to continue to bring you a safe, quality product. We will continue to monitor this quickly evolving situation and are here to answer any questions as needed.
